Queensland celebrants got to meet each other in Brisbane’s most famous park.
For every celebrant that ever there was, was gathered there for certain because, today was the day our QLD celebrants had their picnic under a big old fig tree, after being postponed due to a little thing called The Floods of 2022.
Lead by our QLD Local Leader, Roxy Celebrant the picnic concept with an opportunity to meet face-to-face, whilst showcasing some of our wonderfully talented Queensland wedding suppliers. With cupcakes provided by Elegantly Frosted, flowers by Wonderful Bunch, and photos by Aisling Bourke Photography, members were invited to enjoy a day of feasts, fun, and photos.
Many attending had never met any other members of The Celebrant Society. It can always be a bit nerve-wracking to walk into a space by yourself, but each and every member was greeted with open-arms, resulting in just the best day.
Aisling Bourke Photography took each member off to have some headshots, and as you can see from these, she made each and every member feel comfortable in front of the camera – never an easy feat!
Roxy had been working with Donna from Elegantly Frosted and Loreta from Wonderful Bunch on the concept of the picnic which was ‘a little bit retro with a fruity twist’, and both nailed the brief. If you’ve ever tried one of Donna’s cakes, you’ll know that they not only look delicious, they taste it. Loreta had produced some of the most creative flowers we’ve ever seen, with tulips, roses, highlighted with grapefruit and oranges.
Meanwhile, Roxy, whose house is full of vintage bits ‘n’ bobs, supplemented these with some finds at op-shops to really make the picnic pop.
Finally, our member Lins who also owns LP Badges, made a badge for each attendee, making us feel like we were all a participant in the best kind of club around.
Just a ten outta ten kinda day.
