What is The Wedding Society?

The Wedding Society is an online wedding vendor directory for kickass industry leaders who offer amazing products and services to marrying couples! Any vendor is welcome to create a directory listing and advertise with us.

If you’re a celebrant, we also have a professional association, The Celebrant Society, where celebrants can find a community of like-minded legends to help you grow your business and your fine self.

... so who are we?

Well, let's start with what got us here.

About half a decade (and twice the dog-eat-dog mentality) ago, two wedding celebrants – that’s ‘officiants’ for some of you – met and bonded over a mutual love of cocktails, dancing, and basic respect for their fellow human beings.

Together they decided to lead a movement in their industry called The Celebrant Society. This professional association and its members massively changed the Celebrancy world in Australia by improving the job satisfaction of sole traders. How? Well, we created an online ‘virtual’ workplace – a platform for the change leaders of our industry to stand together and shout their message –

"Community over Competition"

And now?

After nearly a decade working alongside each other, five hugely successful conferences, a membership of hundreds of amazing wedding professionals and a seat at the table of the Australian Government to influence the rules and regulations of marriage law, we are moving beyond celebrants to help the entire wedding industry grow together to create kick ass businesses for themselves and their awesome couples through our wedding directory, The Wedding Society.

At the end of the day, we’re two mates who figured out a way to grow our own businesses by embracing our fellow vendors with open arms and open hearts. You can advertise with us through The Wedding Society directory, and if you’re a celebrant you can also join our professional association, The Celebrant Society.

Johanna has worked for over a decade educating & helping to lead changes in workplace culture as a Celebrant, a nurse, and a leader of The Wedding Society & The Celebrant Society.

Johanna is the ally you want in your corner if you ever need a helping hand in this business.
