FAST FIVE WITH OUR FAVE VENDORS

Hello Hey Babe! Photography, thanks for joining us.

Can you please tell us, where are you based and what do you do?
Im Lysh, and I’m a photographer based in good ol’ Bacchus Marsh, Victoria, however I travel ALL over the GLOBE for a good love story

What’s your favourite part of a wedding to photograph?

My favourite part of a wedding to photograph is probably a good dancefloor to be honest. That’s when people do their best interacting with me and I tend to capture some of THE BEST! pictures here.

(I also get to whip out my dance moves also for future reference I’m a fiend for a good Time Warp! )

A great photographer will think outside the box… or in Lysh’s case, outside the window!

What’s your number one advice for couples when planning their wedding?
Make sure your day is filled with all the things YOU love. Things that as a couple really light your fire.
My second little bit of advice is to outsource! Palm off small jobs on or before the day to either a professional like a wedding day co-ordinator for your setup and decor, or to a wedding party member.
This will make your wedding planning journey a little less stressful.

Lysh from Hey Babe! Photography loves capturing your First Look moments.

Seeing each other before the ceremony. Yes or No and why?

BIG FAT YES!
Simply because it’s such a special moment for the couple and it actually really eases some of that nervous energy that may be building up.
Another personal favourite of mine is getting ready together, honestly such a vibe and 10/10 would recommend to all my couples.

A pizza van, you and your love and your photographer! Perfect!

Group photo! Ditch or keep…? And why?

BIG FAT DITCH!!! It’s like herding cats honestly.
I always ask me couples “are you going to print this photo and have it as wallpaper on your living room wall?” if the answer is no then ditch it!
It’s a logistical nightmare and none of your guests really want to get involved in it “Trust me”.

Ceremony Group Shot! An infinitely better way to capture all of your guests… and your celebrant! Celebrant in question is, of course, our Local Leader, Dee. Lysh captured this Group Shot just after the signing before Jess and Libby triumphantly walked back down the aisle ready to party the night away.

An alternative to the group photo would be a ceremony selfie. This is where I get the couple to pause at some point in the ceremony, usually after the signing or kiss, to snap a couple of quick selfies with all your guests already in the one spot, no one has to move.
