When Meaghan and Rob married at The Black in Brisbane, the brightness radiated far and wide, not only due to their happiness, but also due to their fabulous colour palette they chose.
Meaghan owns a business called Moggy Designs, where her creativity shines through weaving and jewellery making. So, when it came to thinking about her wedding, her creativity shone through loud and clear.
The Black is a fabulously intimate and quirky venue, even without any added décor, but Meaghan and Rob chose to enhance this with colourful flowers provided by popular Brisbane-based florist Kate Dawes.
Guests were welcomed into The Black via a laneway, and a sign and a lick from Archie, their fur-baby, who enjoyed very much seeing his pawrents marry.
Meaghan and Rob had asked their suppliers to work around the colour palette of Meaghan’s incredible dress by Wendy Makin Bridal, yet more Brisbane-based talent at it’s best. From the cake by Hansel and Gretel Cakes, to the flowers by Kate Dawes, to the invitation for guests to feel free to wear colours, the overall feeling was of joy and sunshine.
Our TCS Queensland Local Leader, Roxy Celebrant, dressed to theme, matching the colours in arbour to perfection, as did many of the guests, all adding the vaa-vaa-voom of the day.
As Meaghan entered the space, alongside Archie and her mum, Birdman Randy and the Ivory Street Preachers played away, creating an energetic vibe that evoked much emotion from Meaghan, Rob, and guests alike.
With Rob being English, Meaghan and Rob’s Brisbane wedding was part one of a two-part process, and so they decided to keep their Australian wedding ceremony reasonably short, yet sweet, whilst still incorporating thoughtful elements, such saving seats for those no-longer with us.
Post-ceremony, guests lined up along the laneways, throwing confetti, whilst photographer Kate Robinson did the very best ‘running backwards whilst taking photos’ we’ve probably ever seen!
The reception had all the elements to make guests go ‘wow’, including delicious food and excellent service from the team at Sorella and Co., music, cocktails, and meaningful speeches that left not a dry eye in the house.
Congratulations Meaghan and Rob for creating such a vibrant wedding day.
