March Marrying Madness Not to Be Missed!
Hey legends,
We’re coming in hot with this month’s newsletter because there is so much happening in TCS land! But first, a little recap…
We had an absolute blast in Tasmania, catching up with celebrants and soaking in the stunning sights. While we were off adventuring, the incredible QLD Local Leader Roxy stepped in to take over the [email protected] inbox. She was so amazing that we’ve asked her to stay on part-time to handle membership-related emails and enquiries moving forward.
Rest assured, all emails are completely confidential and will be handled with the utmost care and respect. But if you ever need to reach Gazza or Georgie directly for something private or a collaboration, you can contact us at [email protected]. Huge thanks to Roxy for stepping up and doing an incredible job!

Becky Barry from Marry Me Becky B. @marrymebeckyb Dimboola, Victoria
Meet TCS Member Becky Barry. You may have seen Becky's message recently in the TCS Facebook Group where she was evacuated from her home due to bushfires. Fortunately Becky, her family, and her home were safe, but being a celebrant in rural Australia can have unexpected challenges and feel very different to those based in the city. With mother nature creating havoc, lack of in-person catch ups with celebrant friends, and lots and lots of driving (it's not uncommon for Becky to travel up to four hours to get to a wedding - in fact, she's already clocked up over 50,000km on her new car).
However, Becky wouldn't want to live anywhere else. She loves life in the country, and when she's not celebranting, she's a hard working mum and duck farmer. Becky found inspiration to become a celebrant after realising that many ceremonies in her area were outdated and overly traditional. After three and a half years of being a celebrant, she recently conducted her 100th ceremony wooohoooo! With a strong passion for making sure couples in her community enjoy ceremonies that definitely aren't dull, such as a recent Marvel-themed wedding where the couple came dressed in full costume.
And, of course, despite being remote, Becky has a whole team of celebuddies cheering her on. Although she doesn't get to see us face-to-face very often, she has made some big drives to make it to TCS meet-ups, and an especially long haul to the Bali Retreat, and we're so glad she's a member of TCS.
We loves ya Becky B, where honoured to have you as our first Celebrant Spotlight and if any of our other members can relate to working in remote and rural areas, giver her a follow on socials, and get ready for Becky's Celebrant Conversation where she'll be talking all things Country and Rural Celebrant Businesses...
We are super excited to be bringing back Celebrant Conversations for 2025.
On the third Tuesday of every month, we'll be bringing experts in business and the wedding industry straight to you via these mini webinars. Designed to help your celebrant business grow.
Boost your celebrant business with these 3 easy changes! Improve wedding client enquiries, streamline payments, and automate tasks for better efficiency.
Of course celebrants can witness a NOIM in Australia, but do you know what to do if your couple is overseas? Or which medical professionals can also witness?
Do you want to use your celebrancy skills and other professional talents to support fellow celebrants and earn extra income?

OOOOhhhh Hellllo, what are you waiting for??
Did we mention there'll be massages, yoga, delicious food and cocktails..... and it's tax deductible
The Celebrant Society was the very first community I joined when I became a celebrant, and honestly, I couldn't have asked for a better place to begin my journey.
From day one, I was welcomed into a community that was supportive, encouraging, generous with knowledge, and genuinely invested in seeing one another succeed.
The mantra of "community over competition" isn't just something TCS says, it's something they live and breathe every single day.
After many wonderful years as a member, I sadly had to step away from the flock for a little while, but even during that time, I've always kept TCS close.
I've attended the Bali Retreat, the Melbourne Conference, and remained connected to the incredible people who make this community so special. It has always felt like home, and I have no doubt I'll be rejoining again very soon.
Gary has so thoughtfully and gracefully taken over the reins from the incredible Sarah...Read More »
