​Hi, I’m Kylie​ McIntosh. A​ Marriage Celebrant​, Master of Ceremonies, ​and a
Destination Wedding specialist​!​
I have been in the Wedding Industry for 2​5​ years in various roles from Wedding
Planning and Coordination to Banquet Event Management, and also the glamour
side of weddings as a Décor Stylist.
Over the past ​7​ years, 650 couples have booked me as their Marriage Celebrant for
my laid-back, fun and friendly approach to weddings.​ ​
​​Always professional, always warm. I bring an awesome vibe to my weddings that
couples and their guests really appreciate.​ ​​

​​Why am I a Destination Specialist?
Simply because 90 per cent of my couples are from interstate which has naturally
allowed me to develop my processes in an online environment to ensure every step
is concise and thorough, yet fun and intimate.​ Customer journey is paramount, and I
have no doubt you will love the journey with me.
The wonderful procedures I have in place are forever evolving as I love to keep up
with the modern world. I also have many Celebrant crushes around the country who
inspire me to want to be better.

What is my style?
This is dependent on the couple as I have a diverse range of clients. I am very easy-
going and perform ceremonies that are best suited to you. ​
Basically, I’m all about the connection, the ‘feels’, all the while giving you the
confidence to know the ceremony is going to flow exactly how you want it to.
Whether that be fun and interactive, romantic elegance or a bit of both.
My introverted extrovert self allows me to officiate ceremonies based on your
personality type. Do you want to be the centre of attention? (Extroverts will be in their
element)!
Or do you NEED me to take the attention away from you, just a little? (Introverts be
like…’ yes please?!!)’ Again, anything goes, and as I read people very well, we can
shift between the two mid-ceremony. It’s so perfectly natural to be caught up in the
moment, loving yourself and enjoying the attention, then all of a sudden wanting to
be out of the limelight with a little shift of deeper emotion. (Trust me, there will be
plenty of that)!

​What is my Personality Type?
My darling husband would probably ask which personality I was referring to.​ ​​​
Professionally speaking, I have an alert personality, which means I am driven by
three traits. I am proactive, organised and detail oriented. My secondary personality
type is Passion, which says everything! I love what I do, and I immediately create
emotional connections with my couples.
This is extremely important due to the nature of destination weddings as I may not
have the chance to meet you, prior to your wedding day. Rest assured, my calming
demeanor and genuinely friendly nature will help put you at ease not only during your
wedding ceremony but throughout the whole planning process.

On the day, I often hear guests say that it feels as though I have known the couple
for years, when in fact we have literally met that day. It’s amazing how well you can
connect with people from a distance and in such a short amount of time.

Why book me as your MC?
From my perspective
I only emcee for my couples where I officiate at their wedding and personally, I never
want to leave a good party, so I feel you should definitely leave the emceeing gig up
to me! :)
Whilst the sentiment is lovely having a family or friend emcee for you, they might not
understand the importance of the role.
Just between you and me, they may not particularly want the responsibility either.
Unless they are a born entertainer and really love the limelight, they probably would
prefer to just let their hair down and enjoy the night.
Your guests will very quickly see the connection between us, hear me telling
your love stories in the ceremony, and they will think we have been friends for years!

From your Wedding Guests perspective
By the time your ceremony is finished, your guests and I will be well acquainted.  I
will have set the tone for the evening celebrations and let me assure you, from
start to finish, vibes will be high! Your guests will be well directed which allows them
to relax and simply go with the flow.  After the ceremony, if your photo/video
professionals need a hand with coordinating family/friend photos, I will be there to
assist with a quick turn around.  Your guests have already been listening to me
throughout the ceremony, so they are usually a little more attentive and move a little
quicker. Leaving you more time for couple portraits/wedding party photo tour post
wedding.
I then arrive at the reception half an hour before the start time, so I am there to
ensure last minute preps are done, greet your guests and direct them further.
I don't leave the reception until all the formalities are taken care of, and you’re
tearing it up on the D-Floor!
On another practical note, for those family/friends who need guidance on how to
prepare their speeches, I will happily be in contact with them personally to give them
a "how to" guide, many months prior to the wedding.
It will help them better prepare for their big moment.  I'll also keep an eye on them up
until it is their turn, keeping them calm in the lead up.
Your nerves will be done and dusted for the day, but their nerves could be kicking off.
I will help them through it.

From your Wedding Vendors perspective
As I have an Event management background, I understand the needs of the many
amazing vendors servicing your wedding.
I will collect this information from your wedding planner as far as caterers timing, etc,
and together we will guide you on appropriate placement of speeches.
I have a lovely approach to keep the proceedings rolling on the night which is
something they really appreciate.
I also understand the importance of being prepared, and it's up to me to gather this
information as part of my procedures and simple pre-wedding preparation, which
includes collecting well wishes from absent friends and family.

Pure and simply, from start to finish, your wedding will flow beautifully, and vibes will
be high!
