For many years I have been a performer, fronting a band and even touring in different parts of the world.

Since the dawn of time - my time anyway - I have enjoyed hosting and MCing various life events from wedding receptions to funerals to birthdays to trivia night fundraisers.

I am a writer and an author. I have published course material for Australia's biggest marriage celebrancy school. I have released fiction and nonfiction books and I love it!

And now to the reason you are here - I assume. I am an Authorised Marriage Celebrant. Why did I train and qualify to become a celebrant? I considered the skills I had acquired from stage and other community-minded work (speaking, communication, creating etc.) and thought "marriage celebrancy looks like a great gig."

And it is!

What other occupation would see me officiating the marriage of one of my best friends on a cruise ship in Vanuatu? What other occupation would take me travelling up from the Gold Coast, through Brisbane, to the funky, bohemian town of Maleny on the Sunshine Coast where I could walk the streets mid-morning while eating ice cream with my wife on our own anniversary, before heading on up the hills to a quaint little chapel where I would marry one of the coolest and most artistic couples I have ever met. A couple who, by the way, asked for their young son as well as their dog 'Rocket' to be a part of the ceremony.

"Never work with children and animals" they say. Nah I'm good with that. Whatever will make the couple happy. Want to hold a Star Wars themed wedding? Let's go! Want to keep it low-key and chill? No stress! We've got this.

Why do I have a variety of pictures that aren't just weddings?

Because I'm not just a Marriage Celebrant. MC - Host - Funeral Celebrant - Performer - Singer - Marriage Celebrant...
