“It was lovely to meet everyone and to get a kick up the butt and get some current pics.”
Rachael – One Great Day Weddings
As a celebrant, one of the challenges is realising that YOU are the product / service that you are enticing couples with!
So many of us are Extroverted Introverts* and despite holding space for your ceremony and being in command of the microphone, shying away from the spotlight is actually our comfort zone.
Which is why marketing ourselves can be tricky and awkward!
At the same time, we understand that couples are booking US. Our personalities, our smiles, our quirks and our flare.
Like it or not, this means we need to great photos…. of ourselves!
Recently, a group of our Melbourne based Celebrants gathered for a casual and fun event, Headshots and Happy Hour at HQ.
HQ being the studio space shared by one of our very own, Zee Scott.
It’s a space that is also shared by the delightful Bangin’ Hangings, curator of epic Tinsel installations and Janet of Hyggelig Photography.
With delicious food and a glass of bubbles in hand, we were ready to strike a pose in front of a stunning backdrop while Janet captured us in shimmering glory!
You can see from the photos that EVERYONE nailed it!
Our websites and socials are most definitely a whole heap sparklier now.
Obviously you can’t just take my word for it, so what did our Celebrants have to say…..
“Thank you so much for organising this for us! It was a great evening and it has been fun picking out (my favourite) images” – JC Ardent Celebrations
“Janet gave me permission to be solely me and totally free in front of the camera. The experience was wonderful.” Red – Red Celebrancy
“The evening was perfectly shiny and fun, the backdrop was stunning and Janet is such a pleasure to be photographed by – she’s so beautiful and warm.” Sheridan – Weddings by Sheridan
*don’t believe me – trust me! So many of us LOVE holding space for your ceremonies but also loved and indeed must have, quiet down time to boost our energy levels for the next amazing wedding.
