Insurance Information
The following information is in regards to our Celebrant Professional Indemnity & Public Liability group policy, which is applicable to members of The Celebrant Society and covers only members who are practicing in a celebrancy role. You can find more information about this insurance coverage in the Help and FAQ section.
If you are a current celebrant member who needs a Certificate of Currency,
Please search ‘Certificate of Currency’ in your email inbox as one is sent to you every year on July 1.

Please Note: Members of The Celebrant Society are only covered under our insurance policy if they are a current paid member. Insurance cover ends on the date of membership expiration.
PROFESSIONAL INDEMNITY INSURANCE
Limit of Liability: $2,000,000 any one claim
Limit of Liability in the Aggregate: $4,000,000 in the aggregate for all Claims during the Period of Insurance
Defensive Costs: Costs inclusive
Excess: $500 each and every claim, cost exclusive
PUBLIC & PRODUCTS LIABILITY INSURANCE
Limit of Liability: $20,000,000 any one claim
Limit of Liability in the Aggregate: $20,000,000 in the aggregate for all Claims during the Period of Insurance
Excess: $500 each and every claim, cost exclusive
Every Australian TCS celebrant member is covered by our Public Liability and Professional Indemnity Group Cover Insurance. You can access the details of your coverage through your Member Area when logged into the website.
What you are covered for…
Public Liability Insurance covers you for claims made against you or your business due to injury to someone or damage caused to a person’s property as a result of your business activity. This includes clients, other vendors and members of the public.
Professional Indemnity Insurance covers you for claims made by clients for your professional mistakes or negligence.
Need a certificate?
Some venues or Trade Fairs will require a Certificate of Currency from you to practice or advertise on their property. If you require a current Certificate of Currency, please log into your account and request a certificate on this page.
Please note that our PL and PI Insurance only covers you for Celebrancy related practice. Our Insurance Policy does not cover you for other public speaking or entertainment roles.
