Melbourne Marriage Celebrant

The Wedding Wife

My love affair with becoming a Celebrant started way back in the mid 90’s. I was just moving out of my teens, and into my early 20’s. At the time, I was still navigating love and relationships myself, oh the memories. I worked in a corporate environment with a wonderful person who was a celebrant on the weekends. He was always booked out and seemed quite popular. I think back then, celebrant numbers were even capped and zoned. I used to chat with him about all the wonderful weddings he had coming up, or officiated the weekend prior. I was young and impressionable, and soaked up all of the wedding stories he’d share, and I knew that when I grew up, I wanted to be a Marriage Celebrant.

Fast forward way too many years, and 2 marriages later, I finally made it happen! My life is very different and the office days are long behind me. Now I spend my time working in a classroom, along with supporting my latest husband (and by far my favourite) in our other family business, plus being a celebrant. This all aside from being a wife and mum to a large family.

It’s a role I feel very privileged to be a part of. I am in a sacred place, close to a couple’s raw emotions. I see it and feel it first hand, the happy tears, laughter, and a sense of relief when finally declared as married. I guarantee the guests are feeling this too.

I will navigate the both of you through all of the legal paperwork, and your ceremony design choices. By the end of our journey together, you will have a ceremony that is exactly as you wanted. It will be delivered with warmth and humour, before driving off into the sunset after you say your I do’s.

If I sound like someone you would like to work with for your special day, reach out and say hi!

Warm wishes,
Dayle x
